The Spanish Public Policy Network (SPPN) is an independent, non-partisan association of young professionals and postgraduate students from Spain engaged in public policy and international affairs.
Our mission is to promote collaboration, civic engagement, and professional growth among Spanish professionals and postgraduate students located in both hemispheres, across borders, institutions, and generations. Founded in Washington, D.C. — a vital hub for multilateral dialogue — SPPN embodies a strong transatlantic identity and a commitment to global engagement.
Our vision is to empower and connect young Spaniards who are shaping ideas and policymaking, thereby contributing to the future of societies in Spain and globally. We aim to be a leading platform for emerging voices in policymaking and international affairs — where students, professionals, and institutional leaders come together to share, learn, and lead.
We pursue this mission through three core pillars
Learn
We offer opportunities to explore global policy challenges through institutional visits, expert talks, and spaces for reflection and exchange.
Connect
We build a diverse and vibrant network that bridges geographies, disciplines, and career stages. Many of our members are actively engaged with multilateral institutions such as the UN, World Bank, and IMF. Others work in key government agencies across the United States, Spain, and the European Union, while some are pursuing postgraduate studies at prestigious academic institutions or preparing to enter civil service.
Promote
We highlight and promote the research and work of our members, bringing visibility to the next generation of Spanish leaders in public policy and international relations. In doing so, we contribute meaningfully to public debate on today’s most pressing policy issues – grounded in evidence and informed by firsthand experience.
SPPN is a community-driven association. Our members work across governments, international organizations, think tanks, academia and the private sector — always with a shared commitment to informed, rigorous and constructive public debate.
