SPPN Membership

Two ways to belong to the network. Collaborate with us to promote cooperation, civic engagement and professional growth.

What is the SPPN Membership?

SPPN membership comes in two tiers.

Associate Member is free. It gives you access to our WhatsApp groups, our public events and the ES Policy Blog.

Full Member costs $75 per year. It includes everything above, plus members-only events, priority access and reduced rates at open events, priority for blog contributions, and eligibility to take on leadership roles within the organization.

Full Members also contribute directly to the growth of SPPN and to the pursuit of its mission. Membership fees are what allow us to sustain the organization and expand what we can offer to the community.

Become a Full Member

Who can become a Member?

Membership is open to anyone with a demonstrated personal, professional or academic interest in public policy or international affairs, and a connection to Spain. That includes:

  • Professionals whose work is relevant to Spanish public policy, in government, international organizations, think tanks, academia, or the nonprofit and private sectors.
  • Graduate students and recent graduates at the Master’s or PhD level, enrolled at or recently graduated from an accredited institution, and researchers working in public policy or a policy-relevant field.
  • Any person wishing to become an Associate or Full Member of SPPN should share our mission and principles.
Application process

How does the application process work?

Submit your membership request

Complete the membership form and select the type of membership you would like. You will receive an email asking you to confirm your request — click the confirmation link to be added to the SPPN database and get the link to our WhatsApp group.

Your request is reviewed

All membership requests are reviewed by the SPPN Board of Directors. Associate Members are activated upon confirmation; Full Member applications are reviewed to ensure they meet the requirements.

Approval and payment

If your application meets the requirements, you will receive instructions to pay the annual fee through Stripe using the same email address. Once processed, your Full Membership is activated and you get access to your member portal.

Existing members & changes

If you signed up through the SPPN website before September 23, 2026, you will receive an email introducing the new membership model, with a link to express your interest in becoming a Full Member. If you choose not to, you will remain an Associate Member.

You can move from Associate Member to Full Member at any time. Simply contact us at hello@spainpolicy.com, and we will guide you through the process.

Full Members can cancel their Full Membership at any time through their Full Member portal. After cancellation, they will remain part of the SPPN network as Associate Members. If you later decide that you would like to become a Full Member again, simply contact us.
